-1829 William Colsons and Joseph Jenkin Roberts two free black business men from Petersburg, Virginia (USA) formed the Partnership of Roberts Colson & Company
-1829 After forming the Partnership Joseph Jenkins Roberts at the age of 20 immigrated to Liberia with the American Colonization Society and set up the African operations of Roberts Colson Co.
--1830 Roberts Colson and Co. purchased a schooner "The Caroline" and began trading goods such as camwood, cider, clothing, ivory and palm oil between USA and Africa
-1835 William Colson traveled from USA to Liberia to become acquainted with the firm's African operations during his trip he contract malaria and died in Monrovia, Liberia, after helping to create the first African American owned Transatlantic Shipping and Trade Development Company
-1836 As a result of Colson's death, the firm Roberts Colson and Co was dissolved
-1847 Joseph Jenkins Roberts was elected the first President of the Republic of Liberia
-1876 Joseph Jenkins Roberts died in Monrovia, Liberia
-2023 Two Black Business Men Dr. Charles O-dour and Mr. Curtiss Stancil re-established the firm Roberts Colson and Co. in the same framework as the firm's original founders. Dr. Odour relocated to Nairobi, Kenya to setup African operations and Curtiss Stancil remained in the USA to run the firms North American Operations
We offer single source and origin integrated Tea solutions by partnering with Sasini PLC, Kenyas largest producer and exporter of Black Tea! Sasini Tea operations comprise four Large tea estates covering 1,436 hectares and two CTC tea factories (Kipkebe and Keritor) with a combined capacity of between 12,000 and 15,000 MT of black CTC tea annually.
We support Sasinini, PLC by providing strategic Sales and Growth Support Services across North America. Our coffee operations include coffee grounds and forestry. Coffee is grown on six independant estates in the Central Highland of Kenya covering a total over 2,000 acres under coffee. Collectively, the plantations have a capacity to produce an average of 12oo MT of coffee annually. Our coffee estates are specifically situated in Kiambu County near Nairobi and Nyeri on the foothills of Mount Kenya. We export 90% of our coffee to Europe, Asia and America.
We are provide farm to table single source and origin fresh cut flowers services from growing, processing and exporting. We also have in-house logistics and freight division by working with our Partner Shalimar Fresh Flowers one of the worlds leading grower and exporter of Fresh Cut Flowers. We support Shalimar Freash with sales and partnership growth solutions in North America.
